ESTORIL: SETTIMO TEMPO PER CORSI IN SUPERPOLE

L’undicesimo round del FIM WorldSBK Championship è iniziato oggi al Circuito di Estoril. Il team romano sta proseguendo sulla scia dei buoni risultati, migliorando ad ogni round.

Questa mattina, alle 11:20, nonostante un meteo non del tutto favorevole, si è svolta la sessione di prove libere del FIM WorldSSP in cui Corsi e i suoi tecnici hanno iniziato a lavorare sulla loro Ducati V2 per adattarla a questo tracciato. Simone ha fin da subito dimostrato di avere una grande velocità, chiudendo così in una buonissima quattordicesima posizione con il crono di 1’58”886.

Alle 16:00 si è svolta la Superpole. L’obiettivo della squadra è sempre stato quello di essere più competitivi nel turno di qualifica in modo da poter partire dalle posizioni che contano in griglia di partenza. Simone é riuscito a concretizzare il buon feeling avuto nelle prove della mattina, chiudendo il turno in settima posizione con il crono di 01’42”975 e raggiungendo così l’obbiettivo top ten.

Domani, il Team Renzi Corse si prepara a scattare dalla terza fila nella Gara che prenderà il via alle 15:15. Team e pilota sono pronti a dare il massimo!

ESTORIL: SEVENTH FOR CORSI IN SUPERPOLE

Taking part in the eleventh FIM WorldSBK Championship round at the Estoril Circuit this weekend, Team Renzi Corse aims to build on the recent wave of positive results that has seen them improve round by round.

The first FIM WorldSSP practice session began at 11.20am local time in less than favourable conditions. Corsi and his technicians nevertheless began working to adapt their Ducati V2 to the Portuguese track. Simone immediately showed to have good speed and was able to place a solid fourteenth with a time of 1’58”886.

Superpole got underway at 4pm local time. The team’s ongoing aim is to be more competitive in qualifying so as to be able to secure a strong grid position. Simone was able to confirm his earlier good feeling and qualify seventh with a best of 01’42”975.

Team Renzi Corse will line up on row three of the grid for Saturday’s first Supersport race, which will run at 3.15pm. Both team and rider are ready to give it their all!
